4th Annual “Lo Mejor de mi Tierra” Festival

Performance time is upon us and our first one to kick off our busy season was a performance at the 10am show of the “Mejor de mi Tierra” festival held on October 19th at Rosemead High School. Congrats to our chicos for debuting the new region they’ve spent countless hours learning, Guanajuato!

They did great and we are truly grateful for the invitation to perform at this great event and hope we can be a part of it for many years to come!

Performance videos are on YouTube however the last parts of both regions have sadly been cutoff. But do not worry we have performances coming up on the 2nd and 3rd of November at Pretend City Irvine Childrens Museum and the Muckanthaler Cultural Center so rest assured we will get you those full region videos soon!

Check out our “Upcoming Events” page for all our future events and we hope to see you all there!

Getting ready for Performance Season!

Our chicos have been hard at work learning new dances & regions for this upcoming season and we wanted to make a quick post to recognize that!

We perform at the 4th annual “Lo Mejor de mi Tierra” festival this Saturday Oct 19th during the 10am show. Hopefully all our early birds can catch us there! Tickets are still available and cost $16 each when bought from a participating group, $25 at the door.

We also have two (maybe 3) Dia de los Muertos performances at Pretend City Children’s Museum and The Muckanthaler Cultural Center on Nov 2nd & 3rd respectively.

Hopefully you all can come out and support our dancers and all the hard work they have been putting in day in and day out!

We also want to give a shout out to all our parents for bringing them to practice 4 days a week, for getting the necessary dance materials for their kids and for hand-crafting some braids. You are all awesome!

Hope to see you at a performance soon!

Celebrating our August and September Babies!

We are back with our Birthday posts!

Since we were super busy throughout August we didn’t have the time to celebrate our August babies so we decided to combine our August and September celebrations.

So happy Belated birthdays to the new Mrs. Porras otherwise known as Mrs. Ericka! Ms. Ivanna is one of our newer dancers and we also wanted to wish her a happy belated birthday! Also little Mr. Alan who hasn’t joined our group yet (but he will)!

On to our September baby Ms. Kayla happy early birthday and we hope to celebrate yours again later on in the month!

Thank you all for being a part of Echale Porras and we hope to continue to see you all grow in age and dancing skill!

Happy birthday to all August and September babies out there and we hope you continue to support Echale Porras!

Another performance in the books!

We would like to give a huge shout out to the IE 66ers for inviting us once again to perform before their game versus the RC Quakes and letting us take in the game afterwards. Our kids love coming down to the game and we hope you’ll have us back next season!
